Naija Couture is a Brooklyn-based DJ, writer, artist, and shapeshifter. Texas-born and raised in Georgia, Naija Couture’s experience growing up with VH1, MTV and The RuPaul Show created a foundation of understanding what dance music can still look like in the age of the internet. Naija found their musical niche through EDM and queer-centered campouts in the early 2010’s Southern US. Polyrhythmic beats, textures and vocals of all kinds find their ways into his sets- ones that often move between circuit and cunt, contemporary vogue and deep house, electro and trip hop.
